The short version
- A quote is fixed once you approve it — the price we quote is the price you pay.
- Nothing goes on the press until you approve a proof.
- Once you approve that proof, the job prints as approved.
- You keep every right in your work. We claim nothing.
- You confirm you have the right to print what you send us.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms govern printing services supplied by Bajaj Enterprises Print Shop of F-3, Shop No 6, Kalkaji Main Road, New Delhi 110019 ("we", "us", "our") to the person or organisation placing the order ("you", "the customer").
By requesting a quote, approving a proof or placing an order, you accept these terms.
2. Quotations
- Quotes are based on the specification you give us — page count, quantity, trim size, paper, binding and finish. If any of these change, the price changes, and we will tell you before proceeding.
- Unless stated otherwise, a quotation is valid for 15 days. Paper prices move, and beyond that period we may need to requote.
- Once you approve a quotation in writing, that is the price for the job. We will not raise it afterwards for work within the agreed specification.
- Quotes are exclusive of GST unless stated. GST is charged as applicable.
- Delivery outside Delhi NCR is quoted separately at cost unless included in writing.
3. Your files
A print-ready PDF gives the best result — fonts embedded, images at 300 DPI, correct trim size and 3 mm bleed on the cover. We also accept Word, InDesign and similar formats.
Where a file needs adjusting for trim size, margins, spine width, resolution or bleed, we correct it as part of the job and tell you what we changed. Where a file requires substantial redesign or rebuilding, we will quote for that separately before doing any work.
Please note: we print what you supply. We do not proofread. Spelling, grammar, page order, pagination and factual accuracy remain your responsibility, and we cannot be held liable for errors present in the file you approve.
4. Proofs and approval
- We supply a digital proof, and for most book work a physical printed proof, before the full run.
- No job goes to press without your approval.
- Once you approve the proof, the job prints as approved. Changes requested after approval mean a fresh setup and are chargeable.
- If you choose to waive the proof to save time, you accept the result as printed.
5. Turnaround and delivery
- Turnaround times run from the moment you approve the proof, not from when you first contact us.
- Standard book production is 3–5 working days; express service is 24–72 hours; same-day work is subject to quantity and press availability.
- Timelines are estimates given in good faith. We will tell you honestly at the outset whether your deadline is achievable, and we will tell you promptly if something changes.
- We are not liable for delays outside our control — power failure, courier delay, paper shortage, equipment breakdown, strikes, or events of force majeure.
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.
6. Payment
- Unless credit terms are agreed in writing, an advance is payable before production begins, with the balance due before dispatch or collection.
- We accept cash, UPI and bank transfer.
- A GST invoice is issued for every order on request.
- Goods remain our property until payment is received in full.
7. Cancellation
- Cancel before we begin production and you owe nothing beyond any design or file-preparation work already carried out.
- Once printing has started, the job cannot be cancelled. Printed material is made to your specification and cannot be resold, so costs incurred to that point are payable.
8. Quality, variation and claims
We print on production-grade digital presses and check work before it leaves us. A few things are worth knowing in advance:
- Colour. Screens are backlit and printed paper is not. Minor variation between what you see on a monitor and the printed result is normal and is not a defect. If exact colour matters, ask for a printed proof and approve colour from that.
- Quantity. Trade practice allows a small variation on long runs, typically within 5% either way. You are charged for the quantity delivered.
- Trim. A tolerance of around 2 mm on cutting and binding is standard.
If something is genuinely wrong with the work, tell us within 7 days of delivery and keep the goods available for inspection. Where we are at fault we will reprint the affected copies or refund them. That is the limit of our liability.
9. Your content and your rights
You keep every right in your work. We are a printing service, not a publisher. We take no copyright, no royalty, no licence and no claim of any kind over anything you send us.
In return, by placing an order you confirm that:
- You own the rights to the material, or have permission to reproduce it
- The content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights
- The content is not defamatory, obscene, or unlawful under Indian law
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or expense arising from material you supplied. We reserve the right to decline any job we reasonably believe to be unlawful or infringing.
10. Confidentiality
Your manuscripts, artwork and business documents are treated as confidential. We do not share them, publish extracts, or use them as samples without your written permission. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your files and personal details.
11. Storage of files
We keep your print files on record so reorders are quick and do not need re-setup. We are not obliged to archive them indefinitely, and you should keep your own master copy. Ask us to delete your files at any time and we will.
12. Limitation of liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, lost sales, missed launch dates or lost opportunity — arising from a delay or a fault in the work. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page on the date your order is confirmed.
Something here unclear?
Ask before you order rather than after. We would rather explain it now.
